Sabrina Carpenter’s Bold Tour Inspired by Taylor Swift; Celebrates First Grammy Win
Sabrina Carpenter won her first Grammy award in 2025. The 25-year-old singer, who released “Short n’ Sweet” in August 2024, hit a major milestone in her switch from acting to music.
Carpenter’s journey to music success started in her Disney Channel days, when she starred in “Girl Meets World” and sang the theme song during the show’s run from 2014 to 2017.
She released her first single, “Can’t Blame a Girl For Trying,” in March 2014 and went on to produce five albums: “EVOLution” (2016), “Singular: Act I” (2018), “Singular: Act II” (2019), and “Emails I Can’t Send” (2022).
“The new album “Short n’ Sweet” features three hit songs: “Espresso,” “Taste,” and “Please Please Please.” The album took off after she opened for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.
Now, her “Short n’ Sweet Tour” has its own identity separate from Swift’s shows. While Swift pulls in families by the thousands, Carpenter tends to draw adult fans.
The fan experiences are different too. Swift’s shows are known for friendship bracelet trading and themed outfits. Meanwhile, Carpenter makes each show special with unique photo ops at every venue.
Her time performing in stadiums with Swift helped shape how she runs her current tour. Those big shows taught her how to work a huge crowd.
“Her stadiums make my shows look like clubs,” Carpenter told Vogue, according to Daily Mail. “Watching her keep their attention as if she’s playing in their living room, it was like — and I told her this — ‘Your tour enabled me to do mine.'”
