Year in Review: The 4 Worst Songs of 2024
It’s time to wrap up 2024 and it’s time to reflect on the highs, the lows, and the “what-was-I-thinking” moments of listening to a song that shouldn’t have been written and recorded in the first place. While some songs had us hitting repeat, there were some songs where we questioned our taste in music. So, buckle up and dive into the worst songs of 2024. The kind of songs that will have your friends teasing you relentlessly on why you know the lyrics.
The Worst Songs of 2024
Katy Perry’s “Woman’s World”
Women everywhere should avoid this song and its music video. But if you still want to witness it in all its horrific glory, click here.
Fans criticized Perry’s collaboration with Dr. Luke, the producer Kesha accused of sexually and emotionally abusing her. So, it’s pretty ironic that Perry’s supposed female-empowerment anthem is produced by someone accused of abuse.
Ice Spice’s “Think U The S— (Fart)”
With a chorus like ‘Think you the s—, bitch? / You’re not even the fart (Grrah),’ it’s no wonder this song is included in our list of the worst songs of 2024. It feels like Ice Spice didn’t spend much time writing the lyrics. The song was supposedly a diss track aimed at Ice Spice’s rival, Latto.

Jojo Siwa’s “Karma”
To say that JoJo Siwa had an interesting year is an understatement. The Nickelodeon alum tried hard to shed her image as a childhood star by experimenting with a variety of things all at once, hoping something would stick. Unfortunately, it seemed nothing did. Her lead single, “Karma,” from her EP Guilty Pleasure, didn’t help in her reinvention and was critically panned.
On her YouTube page, the comments were equally harsh, with one commenter noting that the video was “more entertaining than the video itself,” which led viewers to experience secondhand embarrassment.
Camila Cabello’s “I Luv It”
The song is a mess, and hearing the chorus for the third time (it’s just Cabello repeating ‘I love it’ until the end of eternity) will make you question whether it’s the same artist behind “Havana” and “Señorita.”
Then come Playboi Carti’s rap parts, which, even if you have the lyrics in front of you, still leave you wondering what the words are—or if it’s even in English.

Of course, we’re not closing out 2024 on a sad note, since there are plenty of songs worthy of your time and attention. Here’s hoping 2025 will bring us more music and less of whatever the songs on this list were. Until then, avoid these tracks like the plague and patiently wait for the next song with more meaningful lyrics.
