Going to a Delaware beach is a fantastic experience, but what makes it even better is great food. Delaware Beach Town Highlighted for Incredible Food
The travel experts at Islands.com have conducted research on the best Delaware beach town, and they have some great things to say about one particular spot. What’s cool is that they not only say this beach town is a great place to find incredible food, they also say it’s a very family-friendly beach town. Of course, even if you just want to go solo or go adulting with your significant other or friends, this is still a choice beach town. In any case, food is a big part of any getaway, so finding a beach town with extra special food puts it above the rest.
So, which Delaware beach town is being praised for incredible food? It’s the quaint coastal town of Bethany Beach. Of the town, Islands.com raves that this place isn’t too touristy and instead has real, authentic food, especially when it comes to seafood. They suggest trying Off the Hook, which is a “chic farm-to-table restaurant in a crisp white space with a contemporary, fish-forward menu (they had us at Moroccan-spiced grilled swordfish).” They also recommend Bluecoast Seafood Grill, which is a seven-time winner of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. The menu at Bluecoast Seafood Grill has managed to “be both creative and classic, with dishes ranging from conch chowder to baked oysters with brie, to the house specialty fried baby lobsters with spicy mayo, served in an art-filled beachfront dining room or on a charming patio,” they note. I absolutely love a good meal with my beach time, so the next time I’m in the area, I’m going to give one of these spots a try. As for why Bethany Beach is great for kids, Islands.com notes that their vintage boardwalk and neighboring downtown streets have nostalgic shops that kids will love, including stores that have been around for nearly a century. Kids can find candy, ice cream, fudge, taffy and more. You really couldn’t ask for anything more from a tasty beach trip.
