Selena Gomez Teases New Song ‘Love On’ In Paris
Selena Gomez attends the premiere of "Lola" at Regency Bruin Theatre on February 03, 2024 in Los Angeles, California.
Selena Gomez is spreading love in the City of Love. And, as it turns out, love is a big influence on her new song. After revealing last week that she will release her latest single, “Love On” on February 22, the singer and actress, 31, shared a series of snaps from a trip to Paris on Monday (February 19) with the caption, “40 hours. Paris. LOVE ON 2/22 [white heart, lock emoji].” In the first image from the carousel, the Only Murders in the Building star can be seen walking in front of the Eiffel Tower in a chic, all-black outfit consisting of a mini dress, sheer tights, jacket, and sunglasses. Other photos show the “Calm Down” hitmaker striking a sultry pose in all-black in a room with red doors and walls, while in another, she takes a bubble bath with her bare back exposed and throws her hands up in the air. In the final two shots, Gomez tucks into a croissant and coffee outside a Parisian cafe while sporting a bold red lip.
According to a release, “Love On” is expected to be a “fun and flirty song inspired by the months Selena spent in Paris last year.” The new track marks Gomez’s first release this year and follows “Single Soon,” which she released in late August 2023. As we previously reported, Gomez said that she feels like she has “one more album” in her and would probably concentrate on acting after that. Now that the Disney Channel alum is in her 30s, she just wants “to chill because I’m tired.”
Gomez worked on “Single Soon” with her producer boyfriend Benny Blanco, who she referred to as her “bes fwend” in a loved-up Instagram post last week. Alongside a several snaps of the pair cuddling, Gomez, who publicly confirmed the couple’s romance in early December, wrote, “My bes fwend.” Blanco, 35, then replied in the comments section, “Das my bes fwend.”
Musicians Who Have Been In Animated Films
Have you ever watched an animated movie and couldn’t figure out who the voice actor was? If the voice sounded familiar to you and you still couldn’t place a face to the voice, it may be because it was by someone you’re used to hearing sing. Over the years, musicians have signed up to voice roles for animated films. Taylor Swift was in The Lorax, Rihanna was in Home, Katy Perry was in Smurfs, Beyoncé was in Epic, Selena Gomez was in the Hotel Transylvania franchise, and Nicki Minaj and Jennifer Lopez were both in Ice Age. Animation houses DreamWorks, Illumination, Pixar and Disney Animation Studios feature at least one cameo from a star musician.
In some films, musicians explore how good their voice-acting chops are, while others contribute to the project by working on an animated film’s soundtrack. For example, one of Justin Timberlake‘s best-charting songs, “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” was written for Trolls 2, in which he also starred, and took home the Oscar for Best Original Song in 2017. Now, *NSYNC is going to be featured in the upcoming Trolls Band Together with their first song in two decades. The song, titled “Better Place” is *NSYNC’s first new song since 2002. The pop group reunited for a performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2013 and, in 2018, got together once again for their Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony. But this is their first new song.
