Avelo Airlines Nonstop Service To Caribbean Destination Announced

Fly direct from Wilmington to the Caribbean without battling the big city crowds?  Yep!

Avelo Airlines does it again with new flights now in service to Sarasota/Bradenton and flights to San Juan, Puerto Rico taking off next week.

We told you about these new flights back in August and now they’re officially off the ground to the new location in Southwest Florida.

The announcement of flights to San Juan makes Avelo Airlines the first airline to offer nonstop flights beyond the continental United States from Wilmington to the Caribbean at ILG.  So much more convenient than having to head to Philly.  The lines, the traffic, ugh!

Avelo Flying To San Juan and Sarasota-Bradenton

  • San Juan flights will begin on November 15, 2023, with twice-weekly nonstop service on Wednesdays and Saturdays
  • Sarasota–Bradenton began on November 2, 2023, with twice-weekly service on Thursdays and Sundays

Fly Direct From Wilmington To These 15 Locations On Avelo Airlines

Avelo Airlines announced their new east coast base  at New Castle Airport earlier this year, with plenty of options to now fly direct from Wilmington.

This has been a game changer for travelers this summer looking to head south out of Delaware.  The days of trekking over to Philadelphia International Airport are becoming a thing of the past for some.

Since February, Avelo Airlines has been consistently adding desirable travel destinations to their growing itinerary.  Most recently, they announced their first nonstop flight to the Caribbean.  Starting this fall, you’ll be able to travel to San Juan, Puerto Rico.  This makes Avelo Airlines the first airline to offer nonstop flights beyond the continental United States from Wilmington at ILG.  So much more convenient than having to head to Philly.  The lines, the traffic, ugh!

Currently, all nonstop flights out of Wilmington are to locations along the east coast.  The price of a one way ticket is very reasonable with fares starting as low at $49.  Avelo is always offering some sort of promo code too.  Right now, for instance, you can get 50% off base fares for travel in September.
