When it comes to comfort food, pasta reigns supreme. Although you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn’t like pasta, everyone has their own opinion on what pasta dish is best. Some of this is personal, and some of this is regional.
National Pasta Day is here, and Betway conducted some research on which pasta dishes people in each state love the most by analyzing Google Search data. The research revealed the top 10 pasta dishes that residents of each of the 50 states love to eat.

Pasta Dish Popularity Across the US
Lasagna is not only the favorite dish here in Delaware, it takes the top spot across the country too, followed closely by gnocchi, carbonara, ragu, Bolgonese and Alfredo. While Delaware didn’t rank in the top for most searches for pasta, our surrounding neighbors did. The top 5 states for pasta searches are New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.

30 Of Dave Portnoy’s Favorite Pizza Joints Closest To Delaware
Dave Portnoy, founder of Barstool Sports and famed pizza reviewer, has been to plenty of pizza shops in our area over the last few years.
His online pizza reviews called ‘One Bite Pizza Reviews‘ have added to his Barstool fame. He rates pizzas from around the US on a scale of one to 10. One bite, everyone knows the rules.
Part of his criteria is how much grease it has or “the flop”, and he’s always looking for a well-done “undercarriage.” His favorite style is Neapolitan with no toppings, only cheese. His ratings are brutally honest and don’t always make for the happiest local owners. If you’re in the 7 range, consider yourself to have a good pie.
While Portnoy has yet to visit any local spots here in Delaware, he has been to quite a few locations pretty close by, in Philadelphia and neighboring suburbs. Each of his reviews is recorded by his pal Frankie or another Barstool friend, and posted on his many social media pages.
