Football fans everywhere will battle each other to the death of who’s team is better. Rarely will a certain state go head to head over who is the bigger fan base. It’s no argument anyway, it’s been proven that Delaware has been labeled the most NFL obsessed state in the US.
According to a study by onlinecasinos.com, the most NFL-obsessed population is in Delaware.
Our little state put up some big numbers in Google analytics when it came to searching terms related to the NFL. Google searches for 50 different terms including “NFL”, “NFL scores” “NFL schedule” and “NFL draft” were highest among Delawareans.
The most common search in Delaware over the past 12 months was “NFL score”.
Other states that follow the same pattern are South Carolina, Mississippi, West Virginia, Montana and Wyoming.
In overall interest in the NFL, Nevada took second place, Maryland took third and Pennsylvania snagged fourth.
At the other end of the scale, Alabama registers the lowest search levels for NFL-related terms.
A spokesperson for onlinecasinos.com said: “NFL is America’s favorite league, so it was interesting to delve into the data and find out where it’s loved more than anywhere else.
In a state that doesn’t have it’s own National Football team, it’s kind of surprising that we are the most obsessed. The closest options we have for home teams are Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens.
Although, Delaware has proven time and time again to be very diverse in it’s interests so we’re definitely not locked into two teams.
Either way, the proof is in the google analytics, we love football and we can say we’re the Most NFL Obsessed state here in Delaware.
