Hockessin Chicken Wings Spot Rated Among The 30 Best In America

There are plenty of options for dining out all over Delaware from Wilmington down to the beaches.  We’re spoiled when it comes to our food.  Now one Hockessin chicken wings spot is being called one of the 30 best in the United States.

The crew over at Tasting Table went on a search to find the most finger lickin’ good wings and Delaware made the list.  It’s always fun to find a Delaware local spot on a national list like this.

We’re getting into football season with the college season already underway an the NFL kicking things off in just a couple of days.  Nothing goes with football quite as good as some chicken wings a cold beer.

So, what spot do you need to try, just around the corner in Hockessin?  2 Fat Guys American Grill located at 701 Ace Memorial Drive.

Founded in 2004 as a full-service catering company, today 2 Fat Guys serves up savory dishes from 3 restaurant locations in Wilmington, Greenville, and Hockessin.

The garlic butter wings, in particular, are something to write home about. It all starts with plump chicken wings, deep-fries them, and then adds all of the finishing touches. The wings are bathed in a rich buttery sauce infused with tons of garlic.

Not a fan of chicken wings?  Take a look at their burgers.  OMG!  My mouth is watering.  I will be stopping in for some eats this football season.

10 Hot Spots For Chicken Wings In Wilmington

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times.  There is a national holiday for just about everything nowadays.

According to National Day Calendar it’s time to honor the chicken wing because National Chicken Wing Day is on July 29th.

How fitting it falls on a Saturday this year.  I just wish we had some football to watch, to go along with the wings.

Anyway, with the day quickly approaching, I thought I’d find out where we can find the best chicken wings in Wilmington.  So, I enlisted the help of the friendly folks over at Yelp!

As most of us know, Yelp uses customer reviews and ratings to determine their rankings in a given location.  While I do agree this list is full of some delicious wings, two of my favorites aren’t included and I refuse to leave them out.

Of course, Hooter’s is my number one!  I have yet to find wings I prefer over these breaded bites of joy, covered in the hot sauce, nothing is better.  And my second favorite, also not on the Yelp list, are the wings at PJ Whelihan’s but that’s in PA, so that’s why.  Order them extra crispy & hot, they’re to die for.

Enough about my favorites (although you should listen to me), here are 10 hot spots for chicken wings in Wilmington.
