Going to the movies can get pricey. Especially if you have a big family. This is great news for theater goers. You can see Barbie or Oppenheimer movies in the theater this Sunday for just $4. Yes, $4 movies in Wilmington, Newark and everywhere there is a participating theatre.   The discounted prices are in honor of National Cinema Day on August 27th.

The discounts are not only for top movies like Barbie and Oppenheimer. In addition, it covers all new releases. If you have been waiting to see this summer’s blockbusters or just haven’t had the time, this weekend is ideal. However, not every theater is offering this sweet price deal. Local theaters participating in the $4 movie include the ones in the list below.  You’ll want to check for availability before heading out.

  • Regal Peoples Plaza

Last time the Cinema Foundation offered $4 movies, there was a surge in ticket sales. It was last September and 8.1 million people turned out for the discount. In fact, it was the highest attended movie day of 2022. If you want to take advantage of the $4 movies and not risk the possibility of the show you want to see selling out, consider reserving seats now.
