Skittles New Flavor Mimics A Condiment And Is Not A Prank
The Skittles website says it loud and clear “There’s nothing bland at our stand”. Well, there sure isn’t anything bland about Skittles New Flavor that mimics a nostalgic summertime condiment.
Do hot dogs and Skittles mix? We’re not really sure.
The Story of Skittles
The Skittles website has an elaborate background story. “208 million years ago, from the ocean below, a colorful force with the strength of a thousand rainbows pierced the surface, cracked Pangea’s supercontinent, and altered the atmospheric levels of fruity juiciness on planet Earth forever.”
With different ways to taste the rainbow, their website currently gives you the opportunity to mix your own summer flavor. Who knows? Maybe that’s where this idea came from.
Maybe someone fresh from a backyard barbecue decided to mix it up and have the Skittles website create flavors based on what they had to eat that day.
Whatever the case may be, this is not a joke. No one is being punk’d.
The new Skittles flavor is…wait for it… MUSTARD.

“You’re seeing things right. Because you asked, French’s Mustard Skittles are now here,” Skittles also wrote on their Facebook page.
Skittles ended the post with, “They taste great. Trust me.”
Strange, to say the least. But I’d try it. Would you?
Apparently Mustard Day is celebrated on Saturday, Aug. 5, which is when Skittles new flavor will debut for a limited time.
