Delaware Beach Town Named Best In The State For A Romantic Getaway

Delaware is home to a few romantic beach towns up and down the coast.  A little cottage nestled on the sand in Bethany sounds nice, or maybe a quiet place in Lewes close to Cape Henlopen and their beautiful sunsets.  These are two places you might picture when thinking romantic Delaware getaway.

Well, not so fast.  Locals might be surprised to find out that the beach town being called most romantic in the state is also known for the possibility of some pretty wild night life.

Our friends over at Travel + Leisure recently released a list of the most romantic locations for a romantic getaway in every state and in Washington D.C.  In making their selections, they took a look at “proposal-worthy backdrops”, romantic sights and unique attractions to help any couple create timeless memories.

So just where is the best place for a romantic getaway in Delaware?

In Rehoboth Beach

Right on the beach with beautiful sunrises and sunsets.  Rehoboth Beach is optimal for couples looking for a romantic getaway, with a little bit of fun.  Enjoy the boardwalk chocked full of dining options, shopping, candy stores and bars.

The Rehoboth Beach Bandstand provides free, live entertainment too.  It’s not necessarily a spot for those looking for a quiet romantic getaway, but a great option for those couples looking to have a good time!
