Say it ain't so! Delaware McDonalds will discontinue some bakery items this week!

The McCafe will be McMissing some bakery items in the next days.

Internet rumors began to swirl as Instagram and Twitter posts claimed the fast food chain would be removing some of its tastiest bakery items.

According to Mashed " The soon-to-be-departing treats include the streusel crumb-topped blueberry muffin, the cream cheese-drizzled cinnamon roll, and the sugar-glazed apple fritter. These products have been on the menu since 2020 – when McDonald's got new bakery items for the first time in almost a decade — and they will likely be discontinued by July 15, 2023."

McDonalds wasn't the only one discontinuing fast food items this year

The Delaware McDonalds news of comes on the heels of other fast food chains making continuing changes to their menu.

KFC made some major changes to some favorites as well!

The potato wedges and popcorn chicken at KFC were booted from the menu much to people's dismay, but at least they brought back the Double Down sandwich.

The claim the popcorn chicken was being totally kicked out was quickly shot down as it still exists as an a la carte option in some areas.

Burger King also discontinued their Cini-Minis! People were so outraged a petition was made to bring them back!

Chick-Fil-A added some new menu items in 2023

With what seems like a crazy year of discontinuing every fast food item, Chick-Fil-A did the opposite.

Their amazing chicken salad was put to rest but I try to not dwell on that too much.

They did eliminate a few items, but added a popular item back into their rotation.

The Spicy Chicken biscuit made it triumphant return to Delaware Chick-Fil-A's back in June.

"The Spicy Chicken Biscuit is a breakfast portion of Chick-fil-A’s signature boneless chicken breast, seasoned with a spicy blend of peppers, hand-breaded, pressure cooked in 100% refined peanut oil and served on a buttermilk biscuit baked fresh in restaurant" according to Chick-Fil-A.

Delaware’s Favorite Fast Food Restaurant Is Surprising

Delaware's Favorite Fast Food Restaurant In Surprising

Despite the negative connotation that fast food has, it’s still widely consumed every single day, by people all over the world. Despite its unhealthy label, it can be cheap, convenient, and incredibly tasty.

Fast food can be perfect if you don’t have much time to cook, and it can be a delicious treat if you want to celebrate your latest sports win.  It's definitely a fan favorite for the kiddos, at least it is for mine.

Over at Betsperts, they wanted to find out which states in the US have the most fast food restaurants, which countries have the most McDonald’s, as well as which fast food restaurants are the most popular in the US and around the world.

I personally was surprised to find out that Delaware's favorite fast food is Starbuck's.  And it seems we aren't alone.  According to the study, 23 other states also agreed that Starbuck's is number 1.  I would think Dunkin' or Wawa would have won over the first state.  Guess that's not the case.  We need our coffee and egg white bites I guess.  Haha.  They are delicious.

Take a look at the complete study conducted by Betsperts.

Closely behind is McDonald’s which was the most searched fast food restaurant in 22 of the 50 states in America. Methodology

Betsperts took the top 30 from Wikipedia’s list of the largest fast-food restaurant chains.

They then used Data Infiniti to discover the number of fast-food restaurants per 10,000 people. This gave us the states with the most and least fast-food restaurants.

They then used Google Keyword Planner to find out the most popular fast-food restaurants per US state.

They used Wikipedia’s list of countries with McDonald’s restaurants to find out which countries had the most.

They then used the list of OECD members to get our list of countries, before using Google Keyword Planner once again to find out the most popular in each country.
