Popular Craft Beer Bar Opening A New Location In Manayunk
A popular craft beer bar is preparing to open a new location, and the first of it’s kind in Philadelphia.
Manayunk will be home to the newest location of The Brass Tap Craft Beer Bar. If you’ve not been to a Brass Tap before, you’re in for a treat.
The Brass Tap brand began in 2007, when three friends, and now business partners, created a vision for the “Ultimate Beer Bar.” Back then the craft beer market was exploding.
According to The Brass Tap website, the first location was opened in Wesley Chapel, Florida in 2008. They eventually went on to open a second restaurant, also in Florida, this time in Brandon in 2010. To date there are 50 locations across nearly 20 states.
The Philadelphia Business Journal, reports the new location of The Brass Tap will be located at 177 Markle Street in Manayunk. It will be owned by franchisees Danielle and Izak Du Plooy. Doors are expected to open later this year or in early 2024, in the space that used to house 3rd World Sports Bar and Grill.
“We so think it is a good fit. We’re very impressed with the demographics of Manayunk as far as the population density, average age and household, so [The Brass Tap thinks] this will be a really successful location.” said Danielle Du Plooy.
Like all Brass Tap locations, they will feature a variety of local brews on the tap menu, along with a full bar. And you won’t go hungry. On the menu will be a variety of shareables, flatbreads, sliders and a Philly fave, the pretzel.
