So what, you won’t be able to check out Fireworks in Bethany Beach until September due to beach replenishment. But hey, something to look forward to as summer winds down.
Fourth of July Fireworks in Delaware are back in a big way this year. You’ve got plenty of opportunities to see some beautiful fireworks shows right here in The First State. No matter if you’ll be down at the beach, or spending the holiday at home.
With so many options this year, and not all events taking place on the 4th, you’ll want to plan ahead to take advantage of as many celebrations as possible.
As it is with most holiday events, you can also plan to look forward to parades, live entertainment and most definitely some delicious food. It’s what 4th of July is all about here in America after all, celebrating! We couldn’t be much closer to where it all started centuries ago.
Here’s Where to Watch 4th of July Fireworks In Delaware This Year
- Due to beach replenishment, Bethany Beach’s fireworks have been postponed until Labor Day.
- In Dewey Beach, Love Seed Mama Jump will play live from the Rudder, and fireworks to begin at dusk.
- Dover‘s celebration and parade begin at 4 PM on Park Drive (between East Division and East Loockerman Street).
- In Elkton, MD, the best Fireworks viewing is at Eder Park (Elkton Little League). Fireworks are planned at dusk (rain date July 5).
- Hockessin‘s Fireworks Show is funded 100% by donations; the Hockessin community is asked to donate. Activities begin at 9 AM.
- Celebrations in Laurel, Delaware will start on July 4th with a cornhole tournament at 5:30. The parade on Evergreen Drive starts at 7, with Fireworks set to begin at dusk.
- Lewes Features children’s activities starting at 9 AM, the Lewes Independence Boat Parade at 1:30, the Doo-Dah Parade, starting at Lloyd’s Market at five, and Fireworks at dusk.
- In Middletown, DE, Silver Lake Park will open for viewing at 6 p.m. with food for sale.
- Newark Fireworks will be held on Tuesday, July 4th at the University of Delaware Athletic Complex. Vendors and entertainment will begin at 6 PM
- Rehoboth Beach’s Fireworks will begin at dusk on SUNDAY, July 2, weather permitting.
- Wilmington Riverfront’s celebration will feature a petting zoo, face painting, train rides, and food vendors starting at 2 PM. Fireworks are expected to start after 9PM.
