Love is in the air in the first state! Delaware is the second most romantic states in the United States!
Diamond engagement rings and fine jewelry expert Mark Broumand recently released their rankings of the most romantic states and Delaware finished 2nd to New Jersey.
Home to romantic beaches with scenic views of Delaware Bay, this state has an average monthly search volume of 1,035 for every 100,000 people. Here, people are searching for ‘engagement rings’ a total of 2,650 times per month. The research also uncovered 1,983 searches for ‘florists near me’ and 957 for ‘wedding venues near me’. They analyzed google searches in each state and used 16 different searches. Things like ‘engagement rings’, ‘romantic getaways’, ‘florists near me’, and ‘romantic restaurants’ were researched and then compared to each state’s population.
Pennsylvania wound up being the 5th most romantic state in the U.S.

According to The Street, Delaware has some of the best engagement ring prices in the country.
The First State is the 2nd best place to buy an engagement ring if you are looking to save some cash.
Delawareans average right around $4,000 when buying a ring for their proposal.
So where does Delaware compare to our neighbor states?
Pennsylvanians drop around $7,600 on their rings, in New Jersey they spend an average of $8,800, and in Maryland the average is $7,600.
Washington state came out with the highest national average — $10,109 compared to the $3,005 spent in South Dakota.
