Delaware Is The Best State For Working Mothers
If you are a working mom or a mom looking to get back into the workforce, Delaware is the place to be!
“Women make up nearly half of the U.S. workforce, and 73% of moms with children under age 18 were working in 2022. Working moms still face an uphill battle in the workplace, though, as their average hourly wage is only 82% of what men make, and only 8.2% of S&P 500 companies’ chief executives are women” according to WalletHub.
Progress IS happening and Delaware is leading the way.
On WalletHub’s list of 2023’s Best & Worst States for Working Moms the first state ranks at the 10th best state for mothers.
WalletHub took into account daycare options, professional opportunities, and work-life balance amongst others things when making these rankings.
Delaware ranked 16th in daycare options and 39th in work-life balance.
