Deanna and Justin In The Morning

5:30am - 10:00am

In light of the Oscars being this past weekend, LISTEN to Deanna and Justin in the Morning present: The Wilmies!

Deanna, Justin and Hollywood Kyle all gave each other awards last week. Ahead of the Oscars, it seemed like the perfect time to reflect back on the strengths each person has.

Yes, normally they’re all ragging on each other for something. Most of the time, sarcasm is the main undertone.

However, this segment was special. This time, everyone took into account what each person is capable of.

Talent and Grit were considered.

Hobbies and special skills were accounted for.

They called it: The Wilmies, because no one in Wilmington does it like they do.

Obviously there’s no scientific research to back this up. But there’s also no way to disprove it, so HA!

LISTEN to the segment below:

Deanna presented Hollywood Kyle with the “Good Sport Award”. This award was presented to Kyle for always saying yes even when he doesn’t want to. He always lets Deanna and Justin dress him up and convince him to do crazy things for the sake of the show.

Next, she presented Justin with the “Closet Teddy Bear Award”. You wouldn’t know it by all his fart and poop stories, but Justin has a soft side. He cries at weddings, loves his dog and is thoughtful enough to suggest ideas like Deanna’s on air 40th birthday celebration.

Justin presented Deanna with “Best Actress In A Hairy Role” because she committed to growing out her bangs and hasn’t cut them. He gave HK “Best Supporting Actor in New Clothes” because of his commitment to dress better for work.

Hollywood Kyle presented Deanna with the “Persistence Award” for making sure things get done for the show. He presented Justin with the “On Time Award” which is pretty self explanatory. Lastly, he presented them both with the “Best Delco Accent Award”.

If you could win an award, what would it be for?
