Wilmington Is Home To The Best Diner In Delaware

There’s nothing quite like having a hot meal at a diner.  The charm, the decorations, the big comfy booths, the counter,  the ambience just can’t be beat.

While I do prefer going to diners for breakfast, lunch can’t be forgetten.  A good ol’ patty melt or tuna salad with a pickle and chips.  I’m all in.

So, where is the best diner in Delaware?  Lucky for us the crew over at Eat This wanted to find the best diner in each state.  To do this, they enlisted the help of Yelp!  Searching in the category of diners in each state, they came up with their list, based off of user reviews and recommendations.  Eat This also decided that in order to qualify, the establishment must also be open for lunch, not just breakfast.

Here’s what they found out.

The best diner in Delaware is right here in Wilmington at Angelo’s Luncheonette.  Located at 1722 N Scott Street in Wilmington in the historic 40 acres neighborhood.  Known for their 50’s feel and delicious scrapple in business since 1967.

We all love food. And in Delaware, food is serious business. Did you know that there are over 2.000 restaurants in the First State? But we’re looking for the Best Restaurant In Every City In Delaware. No matter where you are in the state.

To be one of the most popular restaurants in any town within the state is a big deal. There’s clearly a lot of competition. It’s hard for me to pick my favorite because of all the different types of cuisine. I may be able to pick out my favorite Mexican, Japanese, Italian, but to choose an overall favorite is tough!

If you ever wondered if your personal favorite is the most popular in town, now you’ll have the answer. There are over 70 towns in Delaware to choose from.  I used Yelp to find the highest rated restaurant in each city/town. So EVERY city and town in Delaware may be a slight exaggeration, but some of the small towns don’t even have restaurants.

I hope you’re not hungry!  If you are, you’ll be running out for a bite after drooling over this list of restaurants you’ll want to try.
