Martial Arts School In Sewell Gives Back
The Growth Dojo is a premier Martial Arts and Self-Development center in Sewell, New Jersey. Classes include Kids Black Belt Athlete Training, Adult Black Belt Fitness, and Teen Black Belt Leadership Training.
The owner of The Growth Dojo, Mark Moore is not only the head coach. He wears many other hats. He is a Motivational and Inspirational Speaker for schools, businesses, and sports teams.
Moore has a passion for children which is apparent.
He is a Bully Prevention and Self-Development Expert.
He helps his students learn the art of self-respect, self-discipline- and self-defense at the same time.
Moore works with both children and adults. He believes Martial Arts gives you so much more than a body-transforming workout. “With every class we teach, you’ll learn the most important parts of several awesome styles!”, according to their website.
On top of everything they teach at The Growth Dojo, they also give back. Moore collects items for people in need.
They host two drives each year. The most recent was for socks for the homeless community.
Socks are the most requested item in homeless shelters. Knowing this, Mark and his team set a goal to collect 2023 pairs. They more than accomplished the goal. They ended up with over 5000 in total!
The drive was so successful, that homeless shelters will no longer accept the socks due to overwhelming stock.
As a result, Mark and his students will go into Center City Philadelphia and hand out bags of items to people on the street.
Mark believes this not only builds character but teaches young adults and teenagers first hand the difference they can make.
“These drives are just the tip of the iceberg of the good that they do”, said one adult participant Phillip Imbesi.
