It’s the new age of getting groceries as Delaware County welcomes a new Amazon Fresh Store.

Thursday saw a brand new style of grocery shopping come to Broomall Delaware County.

Amazon Fresh Stores are known for the their “just walk out” technology and strategy.

Shopper simply grab the items they need and walk right out of the store!

According to 6ABC cameras and artificial intelligence will keep track of your purchases as you roam the aisles. Then you simply walk out.

You will however be charged, it isn’t free!

According to Amazon “No more standing in line and scanning items with Just Walk Out. Scan the QR code in your Amazon app, use Amazon One, or connect your Amazon account or credit card to bypass the checkout line at the start of your shopping journey.”

If you need something quick, you can skip the line! But if you do want a traditional experience there is staff on site.

The Amazon Fresh market is located at 2924 Springfield Road and it’s open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

This is the second store of it’s type in Pennsylvania. The other Amazon Fresh Store is in Warrington in Bucks County.

According to 6ABC there will be discounts, giveaways, and activities throughout this weekend.

So what can you find at an Amazon Fresh Store? According to Amazon “You’ll find everything you typically find at a grocery store, with the low prices you expect from Amazon, including a wide assortment of national brands; high-quality produce, meat, and seafood; plus, our culinary team offers a range of delicious prepared foods made fresh in store, every day.”

Wilmington DE Among Best Places To Retire

Wilmington DE among best places to retire according to a recent study conducted by WalletHub.

Back in the day, retirement was just something people took for granted. Pensions for workers were more readily available. People worked until they were 65 and then retired.

That is not the case these days. Earlier this year the Employee Benefit Research Institute conducted the 2022 Retirement Coincidence Survey.
The group researched almost 3,000 Americans. Their findings include that 7 in 10 workers feel somewhat “confident” that they will have enough money to retire comfortably. However only 3 in 10 felt “very confident”.

Many retirees choose to move to an area where dollars go further. That is a main reason so many people from highly taxed New Jersey choose to retire to Delaware.

Quality of life of course is a huge consideration. Retirees are looking for homes in safe areas with access to excellent healthcare. Other considerations are weather and enjoying leisure time.

WalletHub looked at what they call “retiree-friendliness of more than 180 US cities across 46 key metrics.”
