Salem County Fairgrounds to Host South Jersey Apple Fest
Fall is right around the corner and you know what that means. Apples and Pumpkins will be everywhere you turn. Salem County will host the South Jersey Apple Fest this weekend.
So many delicious treats will be available from apple pie, to candy apples, apple bread and apple butter, apple sauces and ciders and so much more.
The Salem County Fairgrounds will open up to bakers and eaters alike. Those who would like to enter their apple dessert are welcome to compete in the “Everything Apple Dessert Contest. The contest will take place on Saturday September 10th at 2pm.
The Apple Mascot will be available for meet and greets and photos. The Craft Show will feature over 100 local artists, crafters and vendors. You can browse from the locally hand made clothing, ceramics, paintings, pottery, quilting, woodworking, wreathes and jewelry.
The Fall Home Show is a big draw of Apple Fest. The Home Show offers hundreds of products and services, wine samples, apple toss and live bands. The Vendor Fair will take place during the Home Show as well where you can take a hayride, fill a bag with fresh apples and produce, and take the kids to get their faces painted.
Pony rides and free hayrides will be available for kids under 12.
If you have a child aged 4-8 interested in the Little Miss Apple Pageant, it starts on Sunday at 2pm and sign up is free to join. Remember to bring all their apple colored clothing!
