Opera Delaware Takes Their Show On The Road
Opera Delaware is taking their show on the road! They have acquired a custom trailer and will be able to travel and perform remotely. The trailer includes a 14 ft stage with lighting and a climate controlled greenroom.
Their hope is to perform at more festivals and block parties. Live opera may be at an outdoor space near you before you know it.
Opera Delaware is a professional non-profit opera company with a reputation for excellence in both opera and arts education. Opera Delaware started in 1945 when a group of local artisans gathered to present classic opera at affordable prices. They are the only professional opera company in the state and the 11th oldest in the country.
Until recently, the majority of their performances have been held at the Ethel L. Sayre Recital Hall and The Presser Black Box Theater.

Opera Delaware will be a guest artist alongside Tony-Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell. September 10th at 8pm you can celebrate the beginning of a new season at The Grand Theatre.
The Pop-Up Opera is performing August 17th at 7pm at Milton Theatre. The performance includes a wine tasting. Tickets are available through the Milton Theatre’s box office.
