Dollar Store Recalls Don’t Affect Delaware
Family Dollar has issued a recall on 400 products. Fortunately, the dollar store recalls don’t affect Delaware.
Nationwide Family Dollar stores have instituted a voluntary recall on a plethora of their products.
According to Today.com The recall went into effect on July 21st after Family Dollar recognized a problem with storage of over 400 products.
The recall applies to items that were sold at retail stores only.
The voluntary recall includes a plethora of items including hand sanitizer, mouthwash, and sunscreen. It also includes some well known name brand items.
The name brand items include Tylenol, Dayquil, Crest, and Advil but is not just limited to those. The FDA has provided a full list of the recalled products here.
Family Dollar’s recall was sparked by products “stored outside of labeled temperature requirements” according to the FDA. The products were shipped by accident.
The FDA noted that Hawaii, Alaska, and Delaware were not affected by this recent recall. Delaware stores were given the all clear by the FDA and Hawaii and Alaska do not currently operate any Family Dollar locations.
But, if you do experience negative side effects from any of the products listed above and you obtained them at Family Dollar, the FDA is encouraging you to first contact your doctor.
Secondly, you should then alert FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program.
