That method would involve Ant-Man shrinking himself down to crawl up Thanos' butt and then transforming into Giant-Man, which Rudd responded to in a 2018 interview. When asked for verification if the method would work, Rudd said at the time, "I don't know. I don't know! I almost think it's a question for Thanos because if there's one thing we learned from Infinity War, it's that Thanos could take a lot of punishment."
"It's an interesting tweet. I don't think that even made it to any of the drafts."
According to a new video, Rudd’s Ant-Man addresses the butt theory as part of the Avengers: Quantum Encounter interactive film for the Disney Wish cruise that launches this month. While standing next to Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp in the feature, Ant-Man addressed the fan theory right out of the gate.
"Look, before we start, let me address the elephant in the room," Ant-Man says. "I've heard a lot of chatter out there asking why I didn’t shrink down, go in and uh [makes exploding motion with hands] kill Thanos in a really creative way. First of all, gross. Secondly, it’s much more complicated than that. Allow me to explain–"
Wasp then interjects, "If only we had the time!"
Paul Rudd's got a new title under his belt: the man who plays Ant-Man has been named People's 2021 Sexiest Man Alive! The 52-year-old actor has been swooned over for the last 30-odd years, with gorgeous green eyes and an easy grin, but he's got a hard time accepting this title.
"I do have an awareness, enough to know that when people hear that I'd be picked for this, they would say, 'What?' " the New Jersey native said. "This is not false humility. There are so many people that should get this before me."
Well, Paul, hate to break it to you, but Twitter doesn't think so. Take a look at what fans had to say about this year's sexiest man.
