Be A Hero And Help Out Our Local Veterans
The 14th annual Pennsylvania Hero Walk started on Saturday June 11th in front of the Museum of Art in Philadelphia. This is your chance to be a hero and help out local veterans in need. Community members are gathering to walk more than 300 miles to raise money for local vets in need. In the past over $3million have been raised.
The PA Hero Walk Philosophy is:
“Since the first PA Hero Walk in 2009, we have raised over $2.73 Million dollars and have helped many veterans with our efforts. We have dedicated our fundraising efforts to focus on Pennsylvania veterans from all branches and from all eras. The group has has received unanimous accolades for our dedication to keep the money raised in Pennsylvania to help Pennsylvania veterans.”
For the next two weeks, some participants will walk up to 20 miles per day. The help received will go to supporting veterans in areas like:
- HOUSING
- FOOD
- CLOTHING
- CAR AND HOME REPAIR
- APPLIANCE PUCHASE OR REPAIR
- UTILIITY PAYMENTS
- AUTO ASSISTANCE
