Rihanna Says That Being Pregnant Is Her ‘Crop-Top Season’
Ever since Rihanna announced her pregnancy with A$AP Rocky, we’ve been blessed with the most fashionable pregnancy looks. Now, the Fenty Beauty founder is opening up about what it’s like to be pregnant with her first child.
In an interview with Extra, Rih talked about how surprised she was at how tired being pregnant has made her. She described feeling “really great – tired at times, on and off, which I am not used to”.
The “Only Girl” singer continued, “I can fight through any hour of the night, but now it’s, like, putting me down: ‘No, you go to bed right now.’ And I’m not used to that.”
When it comes to how she views the change her body is going through, Rihanna revealed she has become more accepting of her belly. “Usually when I’m on the red carpet and my tummy is a little big it’s a problem,” she said, adding that now she’s pregnant it’s all about showing it off. “Yes! Crop top season! Lettin’ it all out.”
Rocky couldn’t help but gush about his lady to the news outlet, saying, “Not to lie or gas it, I just never seen a female look so beautiful pregnant.”

Rihanna and A$AP broke their baby news with photos from a walk through Rocky’s hometown in Harlem, New York, with Rihanna’s baby bump highlighted by an unbuttoned pink Chanel coat.
“I got this jacket when no one knew that I was pregnant and it was just a jacket that I loved and I was always waiting for the moment I was going to wear it,” she said. “It just happened to be perfect for that day. One, it was cold, and two, I could unbutton it to just the right place.”
The couple has been friends for years but started dating back at the end of 2020. The two sparked dating rumors shortly after Rihanna called it quits with billionaire Hassan Jameel.
