The summer is the best time to get outside and try something new. However, sometimes it’s hard to be active during this heat. Here are a few activities to do in Delaware that will let you stay cool:
- Delaware Art Museum
This Museum has a great art collection indoors in addition to an outdoor sculpture garden. The museum is best known for its British Pre-Raphaelite art, illustrations by Wilmington native Howard Pyle, and urban. Located in Wilmington, this is a great activity for families and children! You can find admission details here.
- Christiana Skating Center
If you want to get active but do something in the cool indoors, this is the perfect activity for you! You can sign up to open skate with friends, take skating lessons, or enjoy their family night. If you’re interested in this Newark skating rink, check out their website here.
- Clear Space Theatre
If you have a love for the performing arts, check out the Clear Space Theatre. A few examples of shows being put on this summer include Mamma Mia, The Sound of Music, and Priscilla, Queen of the Dessert. You can check them out at 20 Baltimore Ave. Rehoboth Beach, more details here.
- Mall
Sometimes you just need to shop until you drop! There’s something for everyone to do at the mall whether it’s looking at clothes, books, technology, and more. Recommended malls include Christiana Mall, Concord Mall, and Dover Mall.
- New Castle Court House
If you’re a history lover, the New Castle Court House is a great historic site to go to this summer. Admission is free and the museum is open to the public! Enjoy a quick visit or an educational tour. You can find more details here.
