Chobani Launches The First Zero Sugar Yogurt
Chobani has created a first within the yogurt industry, that is a nationally distributed dairy yogurt with zero grams of sugar. According to FoodNavigator-USA.com, they have been working on the product for about year. It has been a difficult process but they have finally created something “truly disruptive.”
Even other products that claim say they feature “no added sugar” they will still contain some natural sugar (lactose) from dairy milk. Chobani hasn’t revealed just how they were able to remove all of the natural sugar from their new Chobani Zero line. However, they were willing to say they add allulose, which is a natural sweetener found in plants such as figs and raisins.
The yogurt comes out to just 60 calories per cup, with no lactose, and still 12 grams of protein. Chobani Zero Sugar will hit shelves across the country sometime this summer.
