Americans really love their pets, some would even admittedly say they take better care of them than themselves. In fact, two-thirds of American pet owners would say they do. While that may sound slightly unhealthy, according to StudyFinds.com, 80% of those polled said taking care of their pet inspires them to take better care of themselves.
The respondents included their benefits as pets owners including: their pets reducing stress, depression, and anxiety by 72% of responders. 62% said that their pets inspire them to exercise more. Around 66% of responders said they are closer with their pets than some of their immediate family members. 61% even said they’d pass on a date or vacation if no pets were allowed.
