About two months later he was sent a demo for the song and was asked if he was interested in singing it for the soundtrack. The song then went on to become a major hit, it reached the #2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in March 1985. The number one song on the chart at the time was “Can’t Stop The Feeling” by REO Speedwagon.
The Beverly Hills Cops films co-stared Judge Reinhold who is from Wilmington, Delaware. He is most famously known for his role as Brad Hamilton in Fast Times At Ridgemont High. Everyone remembers him for his pirate costume, and of course, the icon pool scene.
