Bhad Bhabie Called Out Dr. Phil Over ‘Abusive’ Troubled Teen Facility
Danielle Bregoli, better known as “Bhad Bhabie” is calling out Dr. Phil’s denial of involvement of abuse towards children sent to Turn-About Ranch in Utah.
The infamous talk show guest posted an eight-minute YouTube video reacting to a Dr. Phil interview explaining why she believed Dr. Phil knew about what happened to her at the Turn About Ranch facility.
Host Ashleigh Banfield from Dr. Phil’s interview last week said, “What else is there but some tough love?” This set Bregoli off who said, “Tough love in a f—ing ranch?! To me, I think tough love is like telling your kid ‘no’ when they want something because you know it’s better for them even if you know they really want it, or not letting them do something that may be bad for them even though you know they want to do it, or telling them about themselves. That’s tough love! Malnourishing, humiliating, screaming at, sleep-depriving. That’s not f—-ing tough love!”
70-year-old Dr. Phil claimed that he doesn’t receive updates from guests once they leave the studio saying, “She went to Turn-About four or five years ago, and she had a bad experience. Obviously, I would hate that, and we’d be sorry about that. We’re not involved in that, we don’t have any feedback from them, so whatever happens once they’re there, that’s between them and the facility.”
18-year-old Bregoli refuted that saying, “My mother signed a consent of release of information to send progress reports directly from Turn-About to the ‘Dr. Phil’ show. So when you say you don’t have any f—ing feedback from them, that is not true! So if you’re saying you don’t have any feedback, maybe you should be getting feedback about these places before you’re just sending multiple people’s f—ing kids here. You’re just trying to save your a–. All you’re trying to do is save your a–.”
In February, Hannah Archuleta sued the facility and accused a staffer of sexually assaulting her, Page Six reported.
Bregoli has found support in Paris Hilton, who also claims to have been abused at a Utah facility called Provo Canyon School for troubled youths in the ’90s. Per the media outlet, the 40-year-old heiress has been in contact with Bregoli in an attempt to spread awareness about Breaking Code Silence — an organization advocating for survivors from these types of facilities.
