‘Police Academy’ Star Marion Ramsey Has Died
Beloved Police Academy star Marion Ramsey has passed away at the age of 73.
Most known for her role as the high-pitched voice character police officer Laverne Hooks, Ramsey also had a role in Hello Dolly and other Broadway plays.
According to her manager, Ramsey had become ill recently, but the cause of her death is unknown. During her life, Ramsey was an advocate for HIV and AIDS awareness and is survived by three brothers.
