WJBR Office Voices Their Opinions on the ‘Pick 2 to Defend You’ Meme

The above picture (Pick two to defend you meme) has broken the internet once again. It’s original date of post is rumored to be back in 2018, but as many things do on the internet, it has resurfaced and is causing major debates. As the hunter with a gun takes the center of the picture, many people are underestimating the strength of 10,000 rats coming at you at once. Not to mention, 50 eagles could also tear you to bits pretty quickly. Is the man with a gun actually enough to protect you? Would a gun work on some of those animals? Shooting 10,000 rats does not sound like an easy task. Our office got a hold of this, and can’t settle on one unified answer.

3 Grizzly Bears, 4 Lions

We all know about the intimidation one Delabear can cause. And that was a black bear, which is far more friendly than a Grizzly. But a bear nonetheless. 3 Grizzly Bears would certainly do damage to the other contenders on this list, and would defend me like one of its cubs. Have you seen a mother bear protect their kin? Probably not, because they wouldn’t leave you able to tell the tale. 4 lions is a strong pick. Lions are big cats, as we’ve all learned from the Tiger King himself. And what do cats hunt? – Rodents. Technically speaking, the lion and the eagle are the only ones truly qualified to take down all 10,000 rats successfully. But I have to take the 4 lions over the eagles because lions are just bigger and stronger.

1 Hunter, 4 Lions

It’s like I gotta pick the hunter just so I’m not on the opposite side of a gun. Sure, he’ll have quite a hard time taking down 7 cape buffalo, and he’ll need a surplus amount of ammo, but at least we have a gun right? 4 lions is an easy pick, quick, nimble, can handle just about any terrain. Plus, from what I’ve seen on Tiger King they can do some damage if they’re hungry.

You know what the definition of bad a** is. Lions and wolves. The dynamic duo of dogs and cats. They finally put their pasts behind them and fight it out to protect a human. It’s the end-all feud between the cat-dog war.

5 Gorillas, 10,000 Rats

The sound of putting my life in the hands of 5 silverback gorillas is actually something I can trust. Not to mention, I have the help on the ground floor with 10,000 rats coming for the hunter, and the big guys. If I had to direct them in order of who to attack first, like Ash Ketchum from Pokemon, I’d take out the hunter with the power of 10,000 rats alone. The gorillas will handle the eagles and the crocodiles that come for the rats. Lion and bear vs. gorilla would be a fair battle, and a tough one no doubt, but I think just because the gorillas outweigh the lions and the bears (1 on 1), they’ll come out victorious. Don’t underestimate the power of the rat!

Do not underestimate the power in numbers. 1,050 animals versus just under 50 should leave no further debate. The versatility between the rats and eagles is incomparable to the other contenders. Nothing else can fly, so there’s an upper hand automatically through that alone.

1 Hunter, 5 Gorillas

Assuming the hunter is bearing a shotgun in the picture, they could take out anyone of those animals and most would run once it’s fired. Plus the hunter is the only one that can attack and defend from a distance. When it comes to the Silverback gorillas, it’s simple. They’re ferocious and almost identical to a human, so the chemistry between itself and the hunter will be unmatched.
