John Fogerty Releases CCR Covers EP Featuring His Children
John Fogerty celebrated his 75th birthday yesterday (May 28) with the surprise release of an EP.
Fogerty’s Factory features seven classic tracks from Fogerty’s career re-recorded with the help of his sons, Tyler and Shane, and daughter, Kelsey. Six of the seven tracks recorded are Creedence Clearwater Revival songs and include the following: “Have You Ever Seen The Rain?”; “Long As I Can See The Light”; “Down On The Corner”; “Bad Moon Rising”; “Fortunate Son”; and “Proud Mary.”
The seventh song is Fogerty’s solo classic “Centerfield,” which he and his family got to record in centerfield in an empty Dodgers Stadium in the video below.
Each of the songs was recorded while in quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic and have been featured on various programs including NPR’s Tiny Desk and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Fogerty’s Factory is available on all major streaming platforms here.
