Ellen’s 2014 Oscars Bodyguard Backs up Not-So-Nice Allegations
First there was NikkieTutorials revealing that she was treated “cold” on the set of Ellen.
Then Twitter went crazy with users sharing stories that don’t characterize Ellen Degeneres as a “nice” celebrity. Now someone else who’s been around Ellen is backing up those not-so-nice claims: her bodyguard at the 2014 Oscars.
Former bodyguard Tom Majercak was assigned to escort Ellen, her wife, Portia De Rossi and mother during the 2014 Oscars, which Ellen hosted. Majercak alleged to Fox News: ‘Ellen is the one person that I’ve been assigned to – and I’ve been assigned to quite a few celebrities – to have never taken the time to say ‘hi’ to me.” While Majercak said De Rossi was “very pleasant”, Ellen “just gave me a side glance and didn’t even say ‘hello'” when De Rossi introduced the two. Ellen never thanked Majercak, either, with him adding “It was very cold and very sly and actually kind of demeaning in the way that she treats people that aren’t in her circle.” Saying “It’s bugged me for years”, Majercak decided to share his unpleasant Ellen experience now that others have come forward. He told Fox News “I see this person come across as being very enlightened, positive and awesome…and that’s really not the case when you meet her in person.”
