Ariana Grande Is ‘Very Much Single,’ According To Her Brother Frankie
Mikey Foster ain’t Ariana Grande’s boyfriend, and she ain’t his girlfriend. That’s according to her brother Frankie, who swears Ariana is “very much single.” So, thank you, next question, please.
To be fair, it’s kind of Frankie’s fault that people are asking whether Ari is dating the Social House singer who appears on “Boyfriend.” After Frankie said that he and his boyfriend Hale Leon went on a double date with his little sister and Foster, fans thought that meant the two were official. After all, fans already thought the two singers were dating after their makeout session in Ariana’s “Boyfriend” video.
Turns out, though, that’s not the case. The date night Frankie described at The Game Changers premiere on Wednesday (Sept. 4), according to Us Weekly, was just a “game night with board games” and was “a lot of fun,” but, it didn’t change Ariana’s relationship status. In a now-deleted tweet, Frankie wrote, “My sister is not in a relationship. Everyone relax. She is very much single.”
In a longer statement to People, Frankie continued to refute the dating rumors. “Ariana and Mikey Foster are not in an official relationship,” he stated. “And my comments about our recent hang as friends were not meant to be taken literally.” He added, “It was literally four people meeting up as friends, and I would never comment on something so personal about her life anyway.”
For now, fans will just have to watch the “Boyfriend” video to see Grande and Foster as a couple, who aren’t quite sure of their official status either.
