Luke Perry Has To Wait Five Years For A Star
Luke Perry didn’t receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame prior to his passing, which means getting one now could take a while, at least five years.
According to TMZ, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce says the process of getting a star is a bit different when the honoree is deceased, but they will definitely consider him. Typically a celebrity can be nominated by anyone and the celebrity must agree to attend the ceremony, etc.
In the case of a deceased celebrity, the family has to be contacted to approve, and only one deceased celebrity is chosen per year. This means the earliest a star could be placed in his honor would be March 4th, 2024.
