Ozzy Osbourne Marks Bat-Biting Anniversary With New Bat Toy
Honestly, the fact it’s taken over three decades for Ozzy Osbourne to do this might be the most shocking thing of them all.
Yesterday (January 20) marked the 37th anniversary of when Osbourne bit the head off of a bat during a show in Des Moine, Iowa. So, how did the Prince of Darkness celebrate this infamous moment in his history? By announcing a new plush bat toy with detachable velcro head has been added to his official online store! (Obviously!)
Today marks the 37th Anniversary since I bit a head off a f*cking bat! Celebrate with this commemorative plush with detachable head.https://t.co/Of23jCDtaa pic.twitter.com/U8ZkmOYOey

The bat measures 12 inches long, and like any decent piece of merch, is branded with Ozzy’s red and yellow logo. Per the item’s listing, the first batch of plush bats have already sold out, but orders are still being taken and will be fulfilled due to popular demand.
It should be noted that the plush bat is available as a “pre-sale” item and won’t begin shipping until March, so anyone that’s by chance planning an Ozzy-themed Valentine’s Day gift for their loved one will be out of luck. Of course, a plush dove with detachable head might be more appropriate for Valentine’s Day, but a dove version isn’t available for sale…yet.
