Couple Finds $1.8 Million Winning Lottery Ticket While Cleaning
While most of us hate the chore of cleaning up the home before having guests over for the holidays, it proved to be a life-changing endeavor for one Louisiana couple. Harold and Tina Ehrenberg found an old lottery ticket they bought back in June, which they thankfully checked the numbers on instead of just tossing, earning themselves a cool $1.8 million. It’s a good thing the couple discovered the ticket in the nick of time. State lottery rules allow prizes to be claimed up to 180 days after the drawing, leaving just two weeks remaining. The Ehrenberg’s plan to save the winnings for retirement, rather than blow it all, saying, “We don’t have any plans to buy anything crazy or go on any big trips.”
