There is no better way to ring a new year than with a fire playlist that will get everyone up on their feet! Your party will be unforgettable, with good food, great company, and awesome music to set the tone for the upcoming year. Preparing a playlist ahead of time will save unnecessary stress during the party so that guests can relax and let loose. Having tunes that are upbeat and fun are crucial when curating a playlist that goes well over the duration of how long you think your party will last.

With Dua Lipa changing her sound from disco to 1970s-era psychedelia, the pop icon hasn't failed to keep the dance hits going. Kylie Minogue, who first gained mainstream success back in 1987 with "The Loco-motion" and then again in 2001 with her hit "Can't Get You Out of My Head," continues to make hits in 2023. Minogue dropped "Padam Padam," an electropop song that established her as the fourth female solo artist to have a top-ten single in her 50s, joining Lulu, Diana Ross, and Cher. Finally, you can't go wrong with adding dance hits from world-renowned DJs that everyone knows. Calvin Harris, David Guetta, and Tiësto are some heavy hitters that come to mind. When in doubt, add their new, collaborative albums that feature the hottest names in the music industry right now. Each DJ has recently released albums with artists like Halsey, Justin Timberlake, Ava Max, Tate McRae, and Charlie XCX.

Sure, not everyone likes club music, but if your crowd likes to dance, these song suggestions are perfect to add to your playlist. Take a look below at our top six picks of songs to add to your New Year's Eve playlist:

'Dance the Night' -- Dua Lipa

If there's one thing we know about Dua Lipa, it's that the pop icon will deliver an electrifying, dance-pop hit. Her music videos never cease to give us inspiration for dance moves, as well as a coordinated clap. "Dance the Night" may not make her upcoming album in 2024, but the track will forever hold a place in our hearts and on the dancefloor.

'Padam Padam' -- Kylie Minogue

Kylie Minogue has been consistently hitting the airwaves for the last 50 years, so she knows what she's doing when it comes to reinventing herself and curating a smash dance hit. The singer told Vulture the song has "reached people in ways beyond what we could have imagined."

'(It Goes Like) Nanana' -- Peggy Gou

South Korea has more to offer than K-pop, which has increasingly become more and more popular. Peggy Gou is a South Korean DJ, singer-songwriter, and record producer from Germany who found success from TikTok. Following her mainstream success, she has since collaborated with Lenny Kravitz in "I Believe In Love Again."

'Miracle' -- Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding

The "Love Me Like You Do" singer and Calvin Harris created a beautiful dance hit together in 2023. Before the two collaborated on "Miracle," their last collaborations were a decade ago, with "I Need Your Love" in 2012 and "Outside" in 2014. Goulding first performed parts of the song a cappella inside St Bartholomew-the-Great which was uploaded on TikTok, showing that this song is both fun to sing along to as it is to dance!

'Baby Don't Hurt Me' -- David Guetta, Anne-Marie, Coi Leray

Another DJ who has an awesome dance collaboration with our favorite artists is David Guetta. The French DJ called in English singer Anne-Marie and rising rapper Coi Leray for this modern re-imagination of the 1993 song of the same name by Bmike. The dance hit was co-written by Ed Sheeran, with the music video paying homage to 1998's A Night at the Roxbury.

'Lay Low' -- Tiësto

Tiësto rounds out the trifecta of mainstream DJs with another electrifying track perfect for welcoming in 2024. At the start of the song, choral vocals entice you into the deep house track. The song is both chill and danceable, making it a must-add to your New Year's Eve party playlist.
