One day after sharing a post about her newfound freedom, where Britney Spears said she wanted to be “feared” not “pitied,” she disabled her Instagram account yesterday (March 16), leaving fans concerned.

When one types in Spears’s Instagram handle, the app’s standard message for deactivated accounts reads, “Sorry, this page isn’t available.” Neither she nor her fiancé, Sam Asghari, have explained the absence, but it comes after Spears made it clear that she would be taking control of her own narrative from now on.
