Motley Crue is making headlines for getting back together and embarking on a massive stadium tour with Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, but this isn’t their first reunion of sorts.
Back in 2004, they reunited with drummer Tommy Lee, who had exited the Crue in 1999. With Lee back in the fold, they released the compilation album Red, White & Crue in February 2005 and kicked off another major tour.
The reunion announcement took place on December 6, 2004 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles where the band also performed an intimate set. The gallery below features photos from the press conference and their reunion set.
