Well, the winter weather is here. Early mornings means you need to know how to quickly defrost your windshield!

We’ve all been there…its freezing outside, its early, and our windshield is frozen over!

No matter what you try you just can’t get it to defrost before you need to take off from work.

Here are some hacks on how to quickly defrost your windshield:

• Booze It Up!

  You can make a mixture to quickly get the ice off that windshield of yours. Mix 1/3 water with 2/3 rubbing alcohol and that should do the trick.

• Use A Pizza Box

  Or any type of cardboard will work. This is a preventative measure to make sure you don’t freeze to death defrosting your windshield. According to MSN you should place a piece of cardboard across your front window or cover it with a towel. It is important to do this before any moisture has formed. This means doing it the night before an expected frost.

• Get Wet

  DON’T USE BOILING WATER. Using the boiling stuff can cause your windshield to crack leaving you a bigger problem than you begun with. Simply pour some lukewarm water over the windshield and scrape up the slush,

• Get Out Your Hairdryer

  Actually, don’t do this…you will crack your windshield and wind up with frozen hair.

• Parking Is Key

  Park your windshield facing the sun. That would mean parking the front of your car facing east. You will still need to scrape your car but at least it will be a little easier.

• Adjust Your Sun Visor

  When you warm up your car and crank the defrost, pull both sun visors down. It traps the warm air down near your windshield and should make the ice melt faster.
