Spring is here, and with it comes one of America's most beloved pastimes: watching baseball at a ballpark. Whether it's a major or minor league baseball game, attending a game in the spring, summer or fall can make for a super fun afternoon or evening. It's just a very American thing to go to a local ballpark, get some hot dogs or whatever ballpark food is your favorite and watch your favorite team duke it out against an opponent. Even for those who don't like baseball, there's so much fun stuff to do during a game, from people watching to checking out the team's merch to trying different foods.

Long before spring, teams prep for the new season. Pitchers and catchers reported as early as Feb. 9 for spring training this season, so as they say, the early bird gets the worm. Now, the time has arrived, and it's baseball season, baby.

Favorite Pennsylvania Baseball Stadium Make Best-Of Tally

The experts at USA Today have released their roster of the best ballparks in America, as part of their 10 Best series. This series has experts picking spots for which to vote, and then readers voting for their favorites. In the feature, they note that if you're a baseball fan, you likely have a favorite MLB stadium, and that perhaps its "the one where your team plays, or maybe it's the one with the best views, food, or atmosphere." You might even like a baseball stadium where your favorite team doesn't play, because of one of these factors.

The very first baseball stadium in the history of America was the Baker Bowl in Philadelphia, which opened in 1887 and closed in 1938. It was the first home field of the Philadelphia Eagles. The oldest stadium that's still in existence, according to ESPN is Fenway Park where the Boston Red Sox, which opened more than a century ago, back in 1912.

So, which spots from the state made the cut? It shouldn't be a surprise, because these are super popular spots. Coming in at No. 1 is the famed Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Of the iconic destination, USA Today notes, "Philadelphia Phillies games are a top attraction around here, but no visit to the park is complete without checking out Ashburn Alley, a site that's packed full of local restaurants and baseball-themed interactive displays." On the west side of the state, PNC Park in Pittsburgh made the cut at No. 4, where "guests can bask in spectacular skyline views from the comfort of their seat, the 'Tastes of Pittsburgh' concourse is perfect for snagging some local fare during the game."
