Britney Spears’ Cryptic Post After Justin Timberlake DWI
Following Justin Timberlake's DWI arrest, his ex, Britney Spears, apparently took to Instagram with a shady post. As we reported, the “Cry Me a River” singer, 43, was arrested in the Hamptons over the weekend for driving while intoxicated.
The father of two‘s mugshot was spread widely online, along with surveillance footage of him driving from the American Hotel in Sag Harbor. He was pulled over after leaving the establishment to drive to his friend’s house.
According to an arrest report, he was stopped after a police officer saw his 2025 BMW drive through a stop sign and “fail to keep on the right side of the roadway.” The officer said the former boy-bander’s “eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.”
Timberlake reportedly told authorities he would not do “a chemical test” to determine his blood-alcohol level once he got to the police station. “I had one martini, and I followed my friends home,” he said, according to the report.
Cryptic Post After Justin’s DWI
“It’s the little things you know [tulip emojis] !!!” Spears, 42, wrote in the caption of the photo of a fruity cocktail just hours after Justin Timberlake’s DWI arrest. Spears, who dated Timberlake from 1999 to 2002, didn’t elaborate any further in her cryptic post. She may have comments turned off on her posts, but that didn’t stop fans from trolling JT on social media.
JT has since been released. In a statement shared by police, the pop icon was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and two citations: one for running a stop sign and one for failure to keep in lane.
On Wednesday (June 19), Justin’s lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., said in a statement to Deadline that he “will have a lot to say at the appropriate time but am currently awaiting full discovery from the District Attorney’s office.”
As we reported when covering his arrest, JT is scheduled to perform two shows in Chicago later this week, on Friday and Saturday. Then, he is set to perform in New York City’s Madison Square Garden next week on Tuesday, June 25th, and Wednesday, June 26th. No word has been announced on Justin’s socials following the arrest.
