Kim Kardashian Slammed For Selling Her ‘Dirty’ Birkins
Kim Kardashian of 'The Justice Project' speaks onstage during the 2020 Winter TCA Tour Day 12 at The Langham Huntington, Pasadena on January 18, 2020 in Pasadena, California.
Kim Kardashian’s closet is not necessarily one to covet. As the reality star frequently promotes the sale of her family’s unwanted closet items on Kardashian Kloset, fans of the Kardashians can purchase their things — at a pretty steep price. The website is marketed as a “luxury designer clothing resale site that brings the fashionable and fun clothing from the famous Kardashian-Jenner family closets to yours.” Apparently, the pieces made available on the site are hand-selected by each family member and available exclusively for the public to buy. Their “goal” is to share a part of their luxurious lifestyle by offering fans the opportunity to own rare items while promoting sustainability.
Despite the Kloset being secondhand, the prices alone make people question how such a wealthy family could ask their fans to afford their clothes and accessories. Now, Kim’s latest closet update features two Birkin bags. Both of which are tens of thousands of dollars and in “good condition.” The Birkin catching the most bafflement is a white alligator bag that has brown discolored handles. Priced at nearly $70,000, the product’s description admits to “some discoloration on handles and underside bottom corners, and minor scratching on metal.”
Sharing the photos to Reddit, one user wrote: “Kim’s dirty Birkin Can be yours for only $70k!” before adding: “Seriously how desperate are they for money? And why does no one find it strange that these ‘billionaires’ are selling their second hand clothes? [crying emoji]” One person commented, “Is that from her tanner spray???” While another asked, “This is so embarrassing. Why don’t they get it restored by H before selling it?” Someone replied, “Or even just spend thirty seconds wiping it with a wet cloth. What a tramp.” One person commented, “If they have a storage for f—loads of clothes, but not for birkins then I’m not buying their wealth.”
