Bryce Harper Screams At Umpire, Gets Thrown Out, See The Video
Bryce Harper is one of the most passionate players to take the field in Major League Baseball and we saw it Thursday night. Bryce Harper screams at umpire, throws his equipment and gets thrown out of the game. It’s quite frankly pretty epic and the best part, well he was 100% right!

For those who don’t understand what a check swing is, what that means is a player tried to stop their swing halfway through. The home plate umpire can then appeal to the first or third base umpire (depending on whether the batter is right or left-handed) and that umpire is tasked with watching if the bat crossed into what would be considered a swing.
As you can tell, this did not constitute a swing. I was an umpire for quite some time in my life and, despite being biased as a Phillies fan, I can confidently say that is absolutely not a swing, thus not a strike, thus not a strikeout.

Bryce Harper Interview After Ejection
Harper had some choice words for the third base umpire, Angel Hernandez, after the game. Hernandez is widely known in Major League Baseball as one of the worst umpires. There is a lot of drama surrounding him. As you heard the broadcasters, “Every single time he is on the bases or behind the plate, there’s always an issue.”
Here’s what Bryce Harper had to say about the strikeout call after the game. “Angel in the middle of something again, it’s every year.”
He was totally in the right and sure, he will get fined but a fan took home an epic souvenir!
