Wilmington Mission BBQ Location Plans To Open Doors In A Matter Of Days
Get ready New Castle County! The Wilmington Mission BBQ finally has an opening date and it’s just days away.
Mission BBQ will finally open their doors in the Concord Gallery Plaza in Talleyville after over a year of waiting. The entire plaza is getting a makeover.
The restaurant opening is now set for Tuesday, August 8th.
According to a report from the Delaware News Journal, the opening was delayed due to a dispute between the shopping center’s owner, Allied Retail Properties, and neighborhood groups over proposed changes at the center.
This will be the second location in Delaware. Dover is home to the first Mission BBQ in the First State, located on Route 13.
Mission BBQ is a fast casual barbecue restaurant offering hearty meats like brisket, pulled pork and sausage, along with traditional sides of mac n cheese, cole slaw, baked beans and more.
I’ve been! It’s delicious! You’ll need to check out Wilmington Mission BBQ
Additionally, like the name suggests, the restaurant chain is on a mission to give back. Since opening for business nearly 13 years ago, more than $10 million has been donated to charitable organizations. The support from Mission BBQ has benefited the missions of:
- The Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation
- Wreaths Across America
- Honor Flight Network
- USO
- Special Operations Warrior Foundation
- Navy Seal Foundation and many more!
12 Popular Fast Food Joints Delawareans Are Missing Out On
When driving down the road in Wilmington or Newark or Rehoboth Beach, there doesn’t seem to be a shortage of popular fast food options. There’s a McDonald’s, Chick-Fil-A, Taco Bell or some other drive-thru fast food stop on pretty much every corner.
I was recently in Southwest Florida and I did take notice of some fast food options we don’t have up here in Delaware. It got me thinking. Are we missing out on some dynamite fast food spots?
In doing a quick Google search to find out about the most popular fast food brands across the country, I quickly learned that we are in fact missing out on some very popular options across the country. I have tried several of these places, so I can speak from experience. We may need to start some petitions.
Luckily, we now have the long awaited, first Raising Cane’s location, so that’s one brand we can add to the list of what we do have here in the First State. The stand alone restaurant, with a drive-thru, is located at 127 Grove Lane in Newark.
According to The Raising Cane’s website, their concept is simple and unique. They say they only have ONE LOVE – quality chicken finger meals! At Raising Cane’s you get an exceptionally high quality product served quickly and conveniently. We can do this because we offer a limited menu. You can learn more about Raising Cane’s here.
I haven’t tried Raising Canes yet, but I am really looking forward to giving the chicken fingers a try!
So, what are these 12 fast food brands we are missing out on in Delaware?
