Hailey Bieber Shares Support For Selena Gomez

Hailey Bieber continues to show her support for Selena Gomez. The model recently liked an Instagram post shared by the singer, subtly showing she has no beef with her. Selena shared a few photos of her snapped in a Paris elevator.
One day later, on Monday (June 12), the Rhode Beauty founder addressed “mean” and “rude” comments online on her Instagram Stories. The 26-year-old told her nearly 50 million followers that she doesn’t want that kind of behavior, “nor do I ever or will I ever support or condone hateful, mean, or nasty comments. Doing that is not supporting me.” As Hailey noted, “If you are participating in that, you are part of a culture that I want no part of. Please be nice or don’t say anything.”

Of the hateful comments Hailey speaks of on Selena’s post, some users commented things like, “You have no style. You wear good outfits but giving nothing. Btw this one clearly outshines you.” Another person wrote: “plastic surgery.” Another person commented, “Your beauticians ruined your face. I hope you didn’t pay them.” One person wrote, “COPY CAT.” Someone wrote: “Be ashamed of yourself caused all the senseless drama only for some clout. Pathetic.” Meanwhile, another said: “Keep trying to be the it girl like Bella, Sofía or Haley, you will never be.” Another commented: “Now I’m totally sure that Hailey is the one who deserves the support not you ! You keep playing the ‘ victim ‘ role, take a rest and chill !! It’s the time to move on and leave Justin & his wife living peacefully without your obsession & toxic comments from your childish fans.”
Hailey’s support of husband Justin Bieber’s longtime ex- comes nearly three months after she and Gomez publicly squashed feud rumors. In late March, the Only Murders In The Building star, 30, shared a message of her own slamming “hateful negativity” aimed at Hailey.

Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber have proved to fans that there is no bad blood between the two — posting photos cozying up together. A few weeks following Hailey’s interview opening up about the backlash she faced when she began dating Justin Bieber, Gomez’s ex. The two women attended the 2022 Academy Museum Gala and photographer Tyrell Hampton shared one of the snaps on Instagram alongside the caption, “plot twist.”

As both Selena and Hailey have noted, their fanbases have attempted to pit the two against each other. Last month, the Only Murders in the Building star spoke out against the “vile and disgusting” hate Hailey received due to the timing of her relationship with Justin. Gomez posted a TikTok video calling out her fans who were actively attacking Hailey online.
“I think some of the things that I don’t even need to be aware of are just vile and disgusting, and it’s not fair, and no one, ever, should be spoken to in the manner that I’ve seen,” Selena said in the video. “All I have to say is, it’s incredibly ironic that I would release something that is all about kind words, ’cause that’s exactly what I want. That’s it.”
For her part, Hailey shared that even though it may have appeared from the outside that there was some overlap between her relationship with Justin and Gomez’s, the pop star was single when their romance began. “A lot of the hate and the perpetuation comes from like, ‘Oh, you stole [Justin].’ And I guess maybe that just comes from the fact that they wished he had ended up with somebody else. And that’s fine. You can wish that all you want but that’s just not the case.”
She added, “But I will say too, the only people that really know the truth of the situation and what the timeline really was and how it happened and how it went down are like me and him. Perception is a really tricky thing because when you’re watching something from the outside, you can see it one way when it may not really be the reality of what happened behind closed doors.”
