Pennsylvania Town Named One Of The Worst When It Comes To Allergies

When it comes to allergies, it seems like everyone is affected differently.

For me an allergy attack will have me in bed for a week, for others they feel better in just under an hour.

If you are travelling during allergy season make sure to avoid a certain part of Pennsylvania.

According to Gizmodo Scranton, Pennsylvania is the third worst place in the country when it comes to allergy sufferers.

Yep…the same town The Office takes place in.

“Scranton is ranked in the top five on the list for an average total allergy score, receiving an 87.08-point ranking, the study reported. Grass and weed pollen is a top component here, and while tree pollen peaks in mid-February, it can continue well into May. Fortunately, residents and visitors won’t have to worry about weed pollen levels until fall when the weather changes” Gizmodo reports.

This makes so much sense!

I never really suffered allergies until I got into my 20’s.

What was I doing at the beginning of my 20’s?

Going to college in Scranton! Not only did I get a degree but I also got a sore throat and dry eyes four times a year.

The list of the Most Challenging Places to Live With Pollen Allergies was published recently and did include some other relatively local towns.

Allentown was the 28th most challenging place to live with pollen allergies in the country.

Pittsburgh was 41st worst, Philadelphia was 76th worst, and Rochester, NY was 20th worst.

You can read the full list here.

Wichita, Kansas was ranked as the worst city for allergy sufferers.

50 States Ranked by Generosity When Tipping at Restaurants

Unlike Europe, the United States of America requires diners to tip their service for taking care of them. It’s how they make their money. Everyone has to do it, although some people will just not… Nowadays, gratuity is sometimes automatically charged for you, but most of the time it is up to your own discretion to tip. This rule applies across all 50 states. So which ones are really the most generous and which are the least? The list ranks top to bottom, from least generous to most generous.
